Technical summary
Module featuring an MQ5 sensor for detecting the presence of various gases: liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propane, methane, butane and other natural gases over a range of 50 to 10000 ppm.
This module is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi (see note) via an analog output. A digital output is also available, its trigger threshold is adjustable via a potentiometer.
Joy-It provides a user guide with examples and programs for Raspberry Pi and Arduino,
Application examples: gas leak detection, carbon monoxide alarm, etc.
Notes:
- This module cannot be used for safety applications.
- This sensor may become hot during use.
- For use with a Raspberry Pi board, it is necessary to use an I2C analog converter and a level converter.
Features:
- Power supply: 5Vdc
