Technical summary
The Raspberry Pi 5 model B 16 GB board is the brand-new version of the mini computer from Raspberry Pi. Compared with the previous generation (Raspberry Pi 4B), this model benefits from an increase in processor speed, faster memory, a more powerful graphics processor and a faster micro SD port, all delivering better performance on the order of 2-3x higher. Note also the presence of a PCIe port (able to handle SSD drives) as well as an RTC clock, a multifunction Power button and a connector to take a fan.
To get the most out of the Raspberry Pi 5, it is recommended to use Bookworm, the very latest version of the Raspberry Pi OS operating system.
This new version of the Raspberry Pi board stands out by:

Note: The Raspberry Pi 5 board offers improved multimedia performance thanks to a very fast execution speed. This extra power does however cause the board to overheat, requiring effective cooling so that you can take full advantage of its capabilities.
