Technical summary
Original Espressif ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module with 16MB (N16R8) or 8MB (N8R2) of Flash and 8MB of PSRAM
This is a general-purpose Wi-Fi + Bluetooth® LE MCU module that integrates complete Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE functions. The module's I/O pins are brought out to the pin headers on both sides of this board for easy interfacing.
The ESP32-S3 is a dual-core XTensa LX7 microcontroller capable of running at 240MHz. In addition to its 512KB of internal SRAM, it integrates 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 5 (LE), offering long-range support.
The ESP32 S3 N16R8 DevKitC-1 has 45 programmable GPIOs and supports a wide range of peripherals. The ESP32-S3 supports a larger, high-speed octal SPI flash memory as well as PSRAM with configurable data and instruction cache.
Connected to IO38 is a WS2812 RGB LED with red, green and blue LEDs that are individually addressable. The ESP32-S3 is fitted with 2 USB Type C connectors. One is used to power the board, flash applications onto the chip and provide communication through the built-in USB to UART bridge.
The ESP32-S3 full-speed USB OTG interface, compliant with the USB 1.1 specification, is connected to the second USB connector.
