Technical summary
This Pololu driver based on the DRV8825 circuit allows a bipolar stepper motor to be controlled from a PWM output (step speed) and a digital output (direction of rotation) of a microcontroller (Arduino, Seeeduino, etc).
Three inputs allow the operating mode to be selected (full step, half step, quarter step, 1/8 step, 1/16 step or 1/32 step). A potentiometer allows the output current to be adjusted (it must not exceed 70% of your motor's rated current).
Notes:
- do not disconnect/connect a motor while the module is powered (destruction of the module)
- the module is supplied with connectors to be soldered by the user according to the application.
- significant heating of the integrated circuit is possible and normal during operation
Power supply:
- logic section: 2.5 to 5.25 Vdc
- motor section: 8.2 to 45 Vdc
Output: 1.5A per phase (2.2A with heatsink)
Protections against:
- overcurrent
- excessive temperatures
Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 3 mm
